On December 4th, the Jewelry Team visited Yamanashi Jewelry Museum and To Labo store. Here the students had the opportunity to know first hand the Yamanashi Prefecture’s rich jewelry industry. The region’s jewelry legacy dates back to the Edo Period, rooted in exceptional rock crystal mining and refined polishing techniques. Yamanashi’s industry emphasizes traditional craftsmanship, employing handcrafting methods for precious stones, distinct horizontal polishing machines, and a commitment to preserving time-honored techniques.
