In the fourth session of the 2023 SEED Program, participants took the full class to learn about Yamanashi and their specific industries and greater detail. The class began with a lecture on Yamanashi as a prefecture including its history, geography, and the specific industrial or economic points of importance that make Yamanashi special. Students were able to obtain a greater understanding of what Yamanashi has to offer, the context for its current economic success and struggles, as well as the vast potential there is to explore with their projects.
Having developed a stronger comprehension of why Yamanashi was chosen for the SEED Program and the potential for entrepreneurship, students then had an opportunity to hear from their respective producers directly. GOROM Association recorded interviews with L’Orient (wine producer), To Labo (jewelry producer), Taikan Brewery (sake producer), and Hikari Textiles (textiles producer) in order for participants to learn more about what their objectives should be and how to begin preparing solutions for their specific producer.
