In the second class of the 2023 SEED Program, students participated in their first full length lecture aimed at increasing understanding of global leadership, social entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Most students were familiar with the general concept of global leadership, but had the opportunity to learn more about what it actually means to be a global leader, as well as the skills and responsibilities associated with such a title. Students engaged in this topic in order to begin to think about leadership and teamwork dynamics within their own groups for the 2023 SEED Program.
Students then learned about how SDGs relate to and play an important role in business, specifically when it comes to technology and the development of creative business solutions. As students begin to develop research topics and business ideas, they will incorporate elements of SDGs to produce more practical and responsible solutions.
