Drawing from decades of field experience in international organizations, Mr. Mutsuura witnessed firsthand the untapped potential of talented youth across Latin America. He recognized that while many young people possessed the drive to contribute to global society, economic barriers often hindered their career development.<\/p>\n        <p>Simultaneously, Japan faces a critical shortage of human resources due to its aging population. GOROM was established to bridge these two worlds. In Latin America, many students face inequality yet remain dedicated to their studies; in Japan, young people often feel limited by social structures. GOROM believes in the unlimited potential of these individuals. In 2020, he founded GOROM to promote social business and active learning, fostering cross-cultural understanding between Japan and the world.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n\n        <div class=\"team-member\">\n            <figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\">\n                <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/gorom.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/1670086240271.jpeg\" alt=\"Cori Hallock\">\n            <\/figure>\n            <div class=\"team-info\">\n                <h3>Cori Hallock<\/h3>\n                <div class=\"team-role\">Director of Outreach and Operations<\/div>\n                <p>Cori Hallock has over 20 years of experience in Japan-related non-profits and international exchange, including roles as Program Manager and Interim Executive Director for the Japan-America Society of Dallas\/Fort Worth and founding President of the Japan-America Society of Miami\/South Florida. After serving as an educator in Hokkaido through the JET Program, she earned her J.D. from Notre Dame Law School and has since dedicated her career to strengthening international relations and cultural understanding. Currently, she serves as the Director of Outreach and Operations at the GOROM Association. In this role, she supports the SEED Program, bridging local Japanese producers with university students from the Americas to foster social entrepreneurship. With a background in full-stack development and social media management, he specializes in building digital solutions that bridge technology and social impact.
